PROJECT CAMBERWELL

In 2023, we were approached by a homeowner embarking on a renovation project for his 100-year-old house in Camberwell. Originally planned as a new build, the project took a turn due to planning approvals and rising construction costs during and after COVID. Determined to manage the renovation himself to save some cost, the owner explored various options and, after seeing our product samples, chose ML Windows for his home.

Renovating a century-old house comes with its challenges. Throughout 2024, we visited the site multiple times to take final measurements, but unexpected structural issues and shifting timelines made the process more complex. Different builders worked on the home at various stages, and final measurements weren’t confirmed until September, allowing us to begin production.

With hopes of completing the window installation before Christmas, the reality of December’s peak season in trades and logistics pushed delivery just past New Year. However, we planned ahead, ensuring installation could begin the day after the products arrived.

The installation went seamlessly, and the homeowners were thrilled with the final result. Living next to a train station, they immediately noticed how much quieter their home had become with the new windows.

This project is just one of many that inspire us. Taking on a renovation especially one with as many twists and turns as this is no small feat. We admire those who commit to creating their dream home, no matter the challenges.

We can't wait to see the finished home and celebrate this incredible transformation!
